3-D masks created from genetic material (hair, saliva on discarded chewing gum) left behind by their previous owners. Heather Dewey-Hagborg, an artist, collected the samples whenever she noticed them underfoot, then used genetic analysis and computer modeling to generate the faces.

Dutch painter Johan Sherft creates a realistic-looking birds out of paper. He discovered the art of the age of 14, making paper models of birds, painted by hand, using only colored pencils.

Today Sherft works as a freelance artist, creating oil paintings and paper models. The artist uses a computer program, but it does most of the work manually.
